  1. 1 1/3 cups sugar

  2. 2 tablespoons cocoa

  3. 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  4. 3 tablespoons cake flour

  5. 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

  6. 1/8 teaspoon salt

  7. 3 tablespoons hot water

  8. 3 eggs , beaten

  9. 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk

  10. 1 9" unbaked pie shell

  11. 1 ounce chopped pecans

  12. 2 ounces shredded coconut

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.

  2. Whip sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, flour, vanilla, salt, and hot water until smooth.

  3. Stir in eggs; add canned milk.

  4. Mix well and pour into unbaked pie shell.

  5. Top with pecans and coconut.

  6. Bake 50 to 60 minutes (center will be a little fudgy).

  7. Cool before cutting.
