  1. 1 (6-ounce) package

  2. sliced country ham

  3. 2 pounds long, tender green beans, trimmed and blanched

  4. 6 long chives, blanched

  5. 1 recipe Barbecue Glaze (Recipe follows.)

  6. 1/2 cup prepared barbecue sauce

  7. 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

  8. 2 tablespoons firmly packed light brown sugar

  9. 2 teaspoons minced roasted garlic

  10. 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

  11. 1 teaspoon liquid smoke

  12. 1 teaspoon salt

  13. 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Generously coat a large baking dish with pan spray; set aside.

  2. Slice ham into 6 (2-inch-wide) strips; set aside.

  3. Divide beans into 6 bundles. Wrap a ham strip around a bundle of beans. Tie with a chive . Repeat for remaining bundles.

  4. Using a pastry brush , coat bundles with Barbecue Glaze, reserving some for serving. Place bean bundles into prepared baking dish.

  5. Bake for 15 minutes. Let cool in pan for 5 minutes. Serve with remaining sauce , if desired.

  6. Barbecue Glaze In a small bowl, combine barbecue sauce , vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, Worcestershire, liquid smoke, salt, and pepper, whisking to blend. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
