  2. 2 Garlic cloves - minced fine

  3. 1 Crushed tomatoes - (28 oz)

  4. 2 tablespoons 30ml Minced fresh parsley or basil leaves

  5. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt - or to taste Several grindings of fresh black pepper

  1. Recipe Instructions Heat oil in a medium-size saucepan. Add garlic and saute over medium heat until pale yellow in color, about 1 minute. Add tomatoes, herbs, salt, and pepper and bring sauce to a boil. Lower heat and simmer gently until sauce thickens slightly, about 10 minutes. Adjust salt and pepper as needed. This recipe yields 3 cups.
