  4. 1/2 Cup Pickling spice

  5. 3 Cup Brown sugar

  6. 4 Cup Vinegar

  1. Layer tomatoes and onions in a crock with a pickling salt between thelayers. Put a weighted plate on the top of vegetables and leave overnight. Next day, drain vegetables and place in kettle. Tie spices incheesecloth add to vegetables with vinegar and brown sugar. Cook slowlyuntil brown. Place in sterilized jars and seal.
