  1. Add the two cans of tomatoes and water to a large pot and bring it to a slow boil on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally. When the sauce starts to boil, skim the acid off the top with a ladle and discard before stirring. Repeat this about 3-4 times before adding the spices. Add the spices, beef, and beans, and simmer for another 1/2 hour, stirring occasionally. Serve alone, over spaghetti, with chips, or however you like it.
