  1. 4 c. flour

  2. 1 tbsp. sugar

  3. 2 tsp. salt

  4. 1 3/4 c. solid shortening

  5. 1 tbsp. white vinegar

  6. 1 lg. egg

  7. 1/2 c. water

  1. In large bowl, mix flour, sugar and salt. Mix well with fork. Add shortening and mix until crumbly.

  2. In small bowl, beat water, egg and vinegar with fork. Combine both mixtures with fork until moist. Chill 1/2 hour. Flour lightly and roll to 1/8 inch thick and 2 inches larger than pie pan. Bake 450 degrees for 12 minutes. Enough crust for two double crust pies.
