  1. 4 lbs. lean beef short ribs

  2. 1 large tomato, chopped

  3. 1 cup beef broth

  4. 1/4 cup red wine

  5. 1 small onion, sliced

  6. 2 Tbls. horseradish (I added 3 Tbls)

  7. 1 tsp salt

  8. 1/4 tsp pepper

  9. 1/2 tsp. powdered ginger

  10. 3 tbls. cornstarch

  11. 3 tbls. water

  12. 6 to 7 hours. Remove meat from cooker, cover and keep warm. Turn control to high. Disolve cornstarch in water in a small bowl. Stir cornstarch mixture into cooker. Cover and cook on high

  13. 15 to 20 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Spoon sauce over meat.

  14. This makes enough sauce to serve over mashed potatoes or noodles or whatever suites your fancy.
