  1. 1 cup 237ml Dates

  2. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz Cherries

  3. 1 cup 237ml Walnuts

  4. 2/3 cup 73g / 2.6oz Chocolate chips

  5. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Salt

  6. 1 1/2 teaspoons 7 1/2ml Baking powder

  7. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Sugar

  8. 1 1/2 cups 93g / 3 1/3oz Flour

  9. 3 cups 594g / 20oz Eggs (large)

  1. Recipe Instructions Whips eggs well. Add flour, sugar, salt and baking powder to large bowl and mix well. Mix in the goodies. Lick bowl! Place in 8x3x4 cake pan. If you use pan, line it with wax paper. I use tin foil. It's much easier to wrap as a gift. Bake at 325F for 1 1/2 hours. Use a toothpick to see if done. You should not get anything but chocolate. There should be a good crust and be brown. Make sure not too soft in the middle.
