  1. 1 cup rice wine vinegar

  2. 2 tablespoons sesame oil

  3. Dash of soy sauce

  4. 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce

  5. 1 teaspoon minced garlic

  6. 1 tablespoon minced shallots

  7. 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro

  8. 1/4 cup chopped roasted peanuts

  9. Salt

  10. Pinch of red pepper flakes

  11. 1/2 carrot, cut into matchstick strips (about 1/4 cup)

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk all the ingredients together. Season with salt and pepper. Refrigerate the sauce for 2 hours before serving.
