  1. 4 Red chiles

  2. 3 Green chiles

  3. 2 Ginger - (to 3)

  4. 1 tablespoon 15ml Sugar or jaggery

  5. 1 teaspoon 5ml Peeled broken black gram dal - (urad dal)

  6. 1 teaspoon 5ml Black mustard seeds

  7. 1 1/2 teaspoons 7 1/2ml Oil Salt - to taste

  8. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Fenugreek seeds

  1. Recipe Instructions 1. Soak tamarind in water for 5 minutes.

  2. Fry red chiles, black gram, mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds. Grind.

  3. Add tamarind, green chiles, ginger, and salt/jaggery. Grind again. Add salt to taste.
