Ingredients : 4 cups cubed chicken ( I roast skinless, but not boneless, chicken breasts, seasoned with salt and pepper in a 350 oven for 45 minutes) 3 stalks chopped celery 1 large onion chopped (white, yellow, or sweet, all work well) 4 carrots, peeled and diced (or sliced if you prefer, I have also substituted a bag of baby carrots to save time) 2 cloves garlic, chopped 3 tablespoons butter 3 tablespoons flour 8 quarts chicken stock ( I make my own, but the store bought stuff works too)recipe follows 1/2 tsp ground sage, or 1 tsp fresh chopped sage 1/4 tsp dried thyme or 1 tsp fresh chopped thyme 1 tablespoon dried parsley or 3 tablespoons fresh parsley (flat) chopped Salt and pepper 1 recipe homemade egg noodles (I have posted a recipe on MB for these, but there are several others of our Kitchen friends who have also posted some great homemade noodle recipes as well. I’ve never had a bad homemade noodle!)
