  1. 6 oz Cooked peeled medium-size

  2. frying

  3. Vegetable oil for shallow

  4. 3 tb Sesame seeds

  5. crusts removed

  6. 4 Thin slices white bread,

  7. Fresh ground pepper to taste

  8. Salt to taste

  9. 3 pn Five Spice Powder

  10. 1 Egg white

  11. 2 ts Cornstarch

  12. 1 Garlic clove, crushed

  13. grated (3/4")

  14. 1 Piece ginger root, peeled,

  15. shrimp, thawed if frozen

  16. Green onion daisies

  1. Drain shrimp well on paper towels.

  2. Mince shrimp finely.

  3. In a bowl, mix shrimp with ginger, garlic and cornstarch.

  4. Lightly whisk egg white with a fork (just enough to make frothy) and add to shrimp.

  5. Stir in Five Spice Powder, salt and pepper; mix well.

  6. Press shrimp mixture evenly and firmly onto slices of bread.

  7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and press on firmly.

  8. Heat 3/4" oil in a large skillet.

  9. Lower slices of bread, shrimp-side down, into hot oil and fry 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.

  10. Keep slices immersed in oil.

  11. Drain on paper towels.

  12. Cut into fingers and garnish with green onion daisies.
