  1. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Butter or margarine - softened

  2. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Confectioners' sugar

  3. 2 cups 125g / 4.4oz Sifted all-purpose flour

  4. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Salt

  5. 1/2 cup 73g / 2.6oz Roasted and finely chopped Oregon hazelnut

  6. 1 Red maraschino cherries - drained and chopped

  7. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Vanilla

  1. Recipe Instructions Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add flour and salt; blend thoroughly. Stir in hazelnuts, cherries and vanilla; chill. Shape into small balls and place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake in a 275 oven for 30 minutes, or until cookies are lightly browned.
