  1. 1/2 cup lemon juice

  2. 1/4 cup vegetable oil

  3. 3 tablespoons chopped onion

  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  5. 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  6. 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

  7. 1 garlic clove, minced

  8. 1 broiler/fryer chicken (3 to 4 pounds), cut up

  1. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first seven ingredients; mix well. Remove 1/4 cup for basting and refrigerate. Add chicken to the bag; seal and turn to coat. Refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.

  2. Drain and discard marinade from chicken. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 20 minutes. Baste with reserved marinade. Grill 20-30 minutes longer or until juices run clear, basting and turning several times.
