  1. 1 pound ground turkey

  2. 2 scallions --

  3. 3 inches of top -- left on, thinly sliced

  4. 1 red bell pepper -- finely chopped

  5. 1 teaspoon garlic -- minced

  6. 2 tablespoons cilantro -- chopped

  7. 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme

  8. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

  9. 1/2 teaspoon paprika red pepper flakes to taste salt and pepper to taste

  10. 4 hamburger buns -- toasted

  11. 1/4 cup regular or reduced calorie mayonnaise type dressing

  12. 1 ripe avocado -- sliced

  1. Preparation : Prepare hot coals for grilling. Place the ground turkey in a bowl and mix well with the scallions, bell pepper, garlic, cilantro, and spices. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Gently form into 4 patties. Grill patties over hot coals, 3 inches from heat, for about 5 or 6 minutes per side.
