  4. 1 t tumeric

  5. 3 T ginger

  6. 1 t red chili powder

  7. 3 whole cinnamon

  8. 4 cardamom (elachi)

  9. 4 bay leaf

  10. 2 potato es medium chopped

  11. 1 t tamarind paste Optional: Coconut milk , substituting water Moong dal

  1. Boil eggs for 5 minutes, cool and peel. Saute onions in a different pan and towards the end add other spices, saute. Soon add potatoes and shelled boiled eggs. After stirring for a minute, pick the eggs and put it away. Meanwhile, you can saute moong dal without oil on a different pan. When done, add to the potatoes with water. Cook potatoes and dal for a few minutes. Add a cup of water, simmer in medium heat with the lid on. After about 15-20 minutes, add the eggs. Add salt to taste. At the end, add tamarind water (made from paste) and turn off the stove. Garnish with cilantro.
