  1. 1/4 cup yellow cornmeal

  2. 1/4 cup polenta (corn grits )

  3. 1 cup all-purpose flour

  4. 2 tsp baking powder

  5. 1 tbsp sugar or honey

  6. 1/2 tsp salt

  7. 1/2 cup water

  8. 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  9. *additional corn grits

  1. Preheat oven to 425F degrees In a medium bowl, mix all dry ingredients.

  2. Make a well in the middle and add wet ingredients.

  3. With a fork, throughly blend into dough.

  4. On a floured surface, knead dough for eight minutes until dough is elastic.

  5. Let it rest for 30 minutes.

  6. On a floured surface, roll out dough into 12 inches round.

  7. Grease pizza pan with evoo and sprinkle corn grits onto pan.

  8. Transfer dough to prepared pan and prick with fork through out dough.

  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

  10. While hot add your favorite toppings (taco recipe to follow!)

  11. Return to oven till cheese is melted and Serve!
