  1. 3/4 pound green beans

  2. 1/2 cup peanut or vegetable oil

  3. 2 tablespoons dried shrimp, finely chopped

  4. 2 tablespoons Sichuan preserved vegetable , finely chopped

  5. 5 or 6 dried red chillis

  6. 1/4 teaspoon ground Sichuan pepper

  7. 1 tablespoon minced garlic

  8. 1 teaspoon minced or grated ginger

  9. 3 scallions, white parts
