  1. 1/2 cup 118ml Soy sauce

  2. 2 tablespoons 30ml Minced onion

  3. 1 Garlic clove - minced

  4. 1 tablespoon 15ml Brown sugar

  5. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Freshly-ground black pepper

  6. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Ginger

  7. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Hot pepper flakes

  8. 1/4 cup 59ml Beer

  9. 2 lbs 908g / 32oz Venison steak - thinly sliced

  10. 2 tablespoons 30ml Peanut oil

  1. Combine the first eight ingredients to make a marinade. Put the venison strips in a large ziplock bag and add marinade. Put the bag in refrigerator for several hours, turning occasionally.

  2. Heat the oil in a large deep skillet or wok. Drain the venison. When oil is hot, put about 1/4 the venison in and stir fry over high heat for 2 to 3 minutes, until just done. Remove with slotted spoons to hot platter and fry the remaining meat in batches.

  3. Great as an appetizer or main course.
