  2. ROSE AND POPPY SEED PASTA

  6. 10 oz Pasta shells --

  7. 2 tb Sunflower oil

  8. 1 ea Onion -- sliced in thin rings

  9. 2 ea Garlic cloves -- crushed

  10. 2 ts Poppy seeds

  11. Sea salt & black pepper

  12. 1 t Red rose petals -- heaped

  13. Cook the pasta shells in plenty of boiling, salted

  14. water until al dente. Drain, toss in a little

  15. sunflower oil and keep warm. Put the remaining oil in

  16. a pan with the onion rings and sweat gently until the

  17. onion is soft but not browned. Lift out the onion with

  18. a slotted spoon and mix with the pasta shells. Put the

  19. garlic into the oil in which the onions were cooked

  20. and fry, stirring for 1 minute. Mix the cooked garlic

  21. into the pasta. Toss the pasta in a warmed serving

  22. bowl or dish and sprinkle over the poppy seeds and seasoning to taste. Just before serving, throw in the
