  1. Chili:

  2. 1/2 cup chopped onion

  3. 2 tsp. chili powder

  4. 2 tbsp. vegetable oil

  5. 448 g can red kidney beans, drained

  6. 448 g can stewed tomatoes with juices

  7. 1/2 tsp. salt

  8. 1 cup sliced olives

  9. Burgers:

  10. 1359 g ground beef

  11. 1 medium onion, peeled and grated

  12. 2 tsp. salt

  13. 1/4 tsp. pepper

  1. For Chili:

  2. Combine onion, chili powder and oil in a large saucepan. Cook about 8 minutes over medium heat until onion is tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in kidney beans, tomatoes with juices, salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer30 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in olives.

  3. For Burgers:

  4. Prepare grill. Mix together ground beef, onions, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Form the beef mixture into 8 patties. Grill burgers about 4 to 8 minutes per side to desired doneness. Place grilled burgers on buns and top with chili. Serve burgers immediately.
