  1. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  2. 2 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut into 1/4-inch strips

  3. 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped (1 cup)

  4. 1/2 cup sliced green onions

  5. 2 packages (3 ounces each) chicken-flavored ramen noodles

  6. 1 1/2 cups water

  7. 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  8. 3 cups thinly sliced napa (Chinese) cabbage (12 ounces)

  9. 2 tablespoons sunflower nuts or chopped lightly salted peanuts

  1. Heat oil in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken, bell pepper and onions in oil 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until chicken is light brown.

  2. Crumble noodles. Stir noodles, seasonings from flavor packets, water and soy sauce into chicken mixture. Heat to boiling. Cook 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are completely softened and tender.

  3. Stir in cabbage. Cook 1 to 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is softened. Sprinkle with nuts.
