  1. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Lean round steak - trimmed, and Cut in 1 1/2" pieces

  2. 1 Onion - chopped

  3. 1 Garlic clove - finely chopped

  4. 1 tablespoon 15ml Finely-chopped jalapeño pepper

  5. 1 tablespoon 15ml Prepared mustard

  6. 1 tablespoon 15ml Light soy sauce

  7. 1 teaspoon 5ml Coconut flavoring

  8. 1 teaspoon 5ml Ground coriander

  9. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Ground ginger

  10. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Ground cumin

  1. Combine ingredients in a crockpot and stir well. Cover and cook at LOW setting until meat is very tender -- about 12 to 18 hours.

  2. Serve with brown rice and steamed vegetables, if desired.

  3. This recipe yields 4 servings.
