  1. 1/2 lb 227g / 8oz Lentils

  2. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Bay leaf (small)

  3. 2 1/2 cups 592ml Water

  4. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  5. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Dry mustard

  6. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Powdered ginger

  7. 1 1/2 teaspoons 7 1/2ml Tamari

  8. 1/4 cup 15g / 1/2oz Chopped onion

  9. 1/2 cup 118ml Water

  10. Other Ingredients

  11. 1/4 cup 59ml Honey

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cover tightly and reduce heat. Simmer 30 minutes. Do not drain. Discard bay leaf.

  2. Preheat oven to 350.

  3. Combine remaining 5 ingredients separately and add to lentils.

  4. Place lentils in casserole dish and pour honey over top. Cover tightly and bake 1 hour. Uncover last 10 minutes.
