  1. 36 oysters in the shell

  2. 1 teaspoon salt

  3. 1 1/2 sticks butter

  4. 1/4 cup lemon juice

  5. 1 tablespoon chopped garlic

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Wash oysters thoroughly. Shuck and place oyster meat on deep half of shell; remove any remaining shell particles. Arrange on baking sheet.

  2. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over low heat, combine butter, lemon juice and garlic. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes to blend flavors. Top each oyster with 1/2 teaspoon of butter mixture and bake for 10 minutes or until edges of oysters begin to curl.
