  1. 16 oz 454g Tomato sauce

  2. 1/2 cup 164g / 5.8oz Karo syrup - dark

  3. 1 cup 237ml Vinegar - cider

  4. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Sugar

  5. 1/2 cup 118ml Ketchup

  6. 2 teaspoons 10ml Onion powder

  7. 1/4 cup 59ml Molasses

  8. 2 teaspoons 10ml Turmeric

  9. 1 oz 28g Liquid smoke flavoring - more to taste

  10. 2 teaspoons 10ml Pepper - coarse ground

  11. 1 teaspoon 5ml Garlic powder

  12. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Cayenne

  13. 2 teaspoons 10ml Salt

  14. 3 tablespoons 45ml Cornstarch

  15. 2/3 cup 157ml Corn oil

  16. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Paprika

  17. 1 Caramel coloring

  1. Recipe Instructions Cook all ingredients except sugar, molasses, and Karo for 15 minutes. Stir until hot and very well mixed, add in sugars and mix thoroughly. Do not attempt to cook sauce more until well mixed. Adjust thickness with cornstarch to desired thickness.
