  1. 1 Pkg chocolate cake mix

  2. (18 1/4 or 18 1/2oz) 1 Can Eagle Brand condensed

  3. Milk (not evaporated!)

  4. 1/2 c Margarine or butter

  5. 1 pk Carmels (14oz)

  6. 1 c Coarsely chopped pecans

  1. Reheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Prepare cake mix as pkg directs.

  3. pour 2 cups batter into greased 13x9-inch baking pan; bake 15 minutes.

  4. in heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt caramels and margarine.

  5. Remove from heat; add condensed milk.

  6. Mix well.

  7. Spread carmel over cake; spread remaining cake batter over carmel.

  8. Top with nuts.

  9. Bake 30 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched.

  10. Cool.
