  1. Ingredients :Serves 4

  2. 500 g 4 cloves

  3. 2 tablespoons 1 tablespoon 1 teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon 1 1 1/2 Fillet steak

  4. Garlic, finely chopped

  5. Oil

  6. Nuoc cham sauce

  7. Sugar

  8. Salt

  9. Freshly ground black pepper

  10. Lettuce

  11. Cucumber

  12. Spanish onion

  1. Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes. Placeit in a bowl with the garlic, oil, nuoc cham sauce, sugar, salt andpepper. Mix well to combine.

  2. Cover and marinate for 1 hour in therefrigerator.

  3. Wash the lettuce and separate the leaves.

  4. Cut the cucumber and onion into very thin slices.

  5. Heat a heavy based wok until very hot. Addthe beef and toss, shaking the wok and turning the meat with tongs untilbrown and seared on the outside but still very pink in the centre.

  6. Pile the meat into the centre of a servingplate, decorate with lettuce, cucumber and onion.

  7. Serve immediately.
