    5. 1/2 c Margarine

    6. 1 c Sugar

    7. 1 c Pitted dates

    8. 1/3 c Cherries cut up

    9. 1 Egg slightly beaten

    10. 1 ts Vanilla

    11. 3 c Rice crispies

    12. 1 c Walnuts cut up

    13. 1 c Or more of coconut

    14. 5 ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil, boil

    15. 3-5 min.

    16. Remove from heat and add the vanilla, rice crispies and walnuts. Drop by

    17. tblsp. in coconut & roll. Refrigerate. --
