  1. Yogurt Marinade

  2. 4 Servings 1/2 cup coarsely chopped onion

  3. 4 garlic cloves, crushed

  4. 2 tablespoons chopped fresh ginger root

  5. 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  6. 1 cup plain low-fat yogurt

  7. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  8. 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander

  9. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

  10. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  11. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

  12. 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom

  13. 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

  14. In food processor or blender, combine onion, garlic, ginger and juice; puree to a taste. Add yogurt, salt, coriander, cumin, pepper,

  15. cinnamon, cardamom and cloves; puree until well combined.

  16. Use this marinade for chicken, beef, lamb or fish. Makes enough

  17. for four chicken breast halves or four fish fillets.
