1/2 kg Oatmeal, fine

2 ts Baking powder

120 g Lard

2 ts Ginger, ground

1 t Mixed spice

250 g Golden syrup

Rub the lard into the oatmeal and mix in the spices and baking powder. Warm

the syrup and mix it into the oatmeal till you have a stiff mixture.

1 to 1 1/4 hours

300F, gas mark
