  2. 1 1/2 kg potatoes

  3. 1 big onion

  4. 2 eggs

  5. tsp salt a bit flour (Buchweizen (wheat flour or oat

  6. flakes) Oil Grate the potatoes over a sieve, so that

  7. the water can leave. Don't use a to fine grater, you

  8. don't want to make mashed potatoes.

  9. Squeeze the potatoes - so that more water is going out

  10. of it.

  11. Grate the onions fine on the grater and put them to

  12. the potatoes, like the other ingredients and mix them

  13. carefully.

  14. Depending on how wet the dough is, put some flour or oat flakes to it, so that you get a not to solid dough.

  15. Put oil into a pan and when it is really hot, take

  16. with a (soap) spoon abit from the dough and put it

  17. into the pan and push it to a flat cake.

  18. They have to be "golden" from both sides (you have to

  19. turm them after awhile) - the border of that pancake

  20. has to be real crisp.

  21. Eat them hot to (or on) a slice of bread (Schwarzbrot

  22. (that is dark bread)) with butter and put Ruebenkraut

  23. (sugar-root syrup) or Apfelkraut (apple syrup) on it. %% %%
