  1. 2 tbsp. olive oil

  2. 1 tsp. coarse salt

  3. 1 large onion, peeled and sliced

  4. 2 large cloves garlic, peeled and chopped

  5. 2 tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro leaves

  6. 4 tsp. chili powder, divided

  7. 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes

  8. 1 tbsp. water

  9. 2 poblano chilies, seeded and sliced

  10. 280 g each

  1. Prepare grill. Combine oil and salt in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add onion, garlic, cilantro, 3 tsp. chili powder, red pepper flakes and water to the skillet. Cover and cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover and cook about 3 minutes until onion is golden, stirring frequently. Add poblanos and cook about 6 minutes until tender, stirring frequently. Transfer the onion mixture to a bowl. Rub the steaks all over with the remaining 1 tsp. chili powder and place on an oiled grill rack. Grill steaks to desired doneness. Divide the steaks between plates, top with the onion mixture and serve.
