  1. 1 cup(s) sugar

  2. 3 tablespoon(s) butter , melted

  3. 2 cup(s) pecan halves

  4. 3 large eggs , beaten

  5. 1/2 cup(s) dark corn syrup

  6. 2 teaspoon(s) dark rum

  7. 1 9-Inch Deep Dish Pie Shell

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. In large bowl, mix sugar and butter until well combined. Add pecans, eggs, corn syrup, and rum; stir until well combined. Place unbaked pie shell on 15 1/2" by 10 1/2" jelly-roll pan; pour pecan mixture into shell.

  3. Bake 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F, and bake 37 to 40 minutes longer or until filling is set around edge but center jiggles slightly. Cool completely on wire rack.
