  1. 4 firm, small bananas, peeled

  2. 1/2 cup brown sugar

  3. 1/4 cup butter Dash of cinnamon

  4. 1/3 cup light rum Vanilla or coffee ice cream

  1. Cut bananas in half lengthwise. Heat brown sugar and butter in a 10 inch skillet until the sugar is melted. Cook and stir for 2 minutes until slightly thickened. Add bananas and cook slowly a minute or two until heated and glazed. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon. Add rum. Ignite. (Be careful: turn your face away.) Spoon liquid over the bananas until the flames die out, about 1 minute. Serve warm over ice cream. Makes 4 servings.
