  2. As I was fixing my family a traditional ice cream sundae for dessert (but with sherbet, not ice cream), I really wanted one too but without the SAS (standard American sundae) ingredients. So I came up with the following and realized that us fat-free folks can have our sundae and eat it, too: Layer banana, applesauce and granola in a tall glass. Sprinkle with raisins and top with a date.

  3. Be creative--use other ingredients, too or substitute! Especially to the newcomers to this list, the point is to enjoy our chosen life style and not feel "cheated" because we don't eat what so many others eat--there are so many better alternatives, as has been proven by this wonderful list! Again, many thanks to Michelle and everyone else who contributes and lurks--we are making a difference!
