  1. Maharagwe (from Africa)

  2. 1 onion, chopped

  3. 1 c black-eyed peas, cooked

  4. 3 tomatoes, chopped

  5. 1 1/2 ts turmeric

  6. 1 ts chili powder

  7. 1 tb cilantro, chopped

  8. 1 1/2 c coconut milk

  9. oil

  10. salt

  11. Heat the oil in a large, deep pot. Cook the onion gently until it

  12. is golden and soft. Partially mash the cooked peas with a fork

  13. and then add ot the cooking onion. Add the tomatoes and mix well.

  14. Put in the turmeric and chili powder, seasoning and half the

  15. cilantro. After that, pour in the coconut milk, stirring to blend

  16. all the ingredients.
