  3. 5 clove(s) garlic , minced

  4. 1 large green bell pepper , diced

  5. 1 teaspoon(s) salt

  6. 1/2 teaspoon(s) freshly ground pepper

  7. 1 can(s) tomato sauce

  8. 2 cup(s) sofrito , Cuban cooking sauce read recipe for this

  1. Heat oil in pan on medium, brown meat on all sides. Remove from pan, stir in garlic, onion and green pepper and cook until translucent. Stir in salt and black pepper, browned meat, tomato sauce, water (beer)and Simmer until meat is tender and shreds easily, about 1 hour the pieces.

LIKE FRICASE' DE POLLO...JUST ADD MORE BEER.!!!.LOL JUST ABOUT ALL CUBAN FOOD HAS SOFRITO...sofrito:2 cans of tomato paste2 green peppers, chopped2 large onions, chopped8 to 10 garlic cloves, chopped1 or 2 bay leaves don't chop(just put them in and take them out after cooking meat)1 teaspoon cumin (less if you don't like it)1 teaspoon dried oregano1 cup cup Sherry, or Vino seco (cooking wine)...or BEER lol4 Tbsp olive oilSalt to tasteSautee peppers, onion, garlic, bay leaves, cumin and oregano in oil slowly until all vegetables are limp add tomato paste . Add Sherry and let simmer. If you add the salt, taste beforehand as you might not need it at all...some sugar always helps..lol to taste of course...little vinegar ..i like a bit of bite
