  5. 4 c Flour

  6. 1 c Cornstarch

  7. 2 c Butter

  8. 1 c Macadamia nuts

  9. 2 Egg yolks

  10. 1 tb Fine shredded orange peel

  11. 4 tb Orange juice - to

  12. 6 tbls

  13. Sugar

  14. Orange frosting:

  15. 2 c Powdered sugar; sifted

  16. 3 tb Butter; softened

  17. 1 ts Fine shredded orange peel

  18. 2 tb Orange juice - to

  19. 3 tbls

  20. In large mixing bowl stir together flour, powdered sugar and cornstarch. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter till mixture resembles

  21. 1 tbls orange peel and tbls orange juice; add to flour mixture, stirring until moistened. If

  22. needed, add more orange juice to moisten. On lightly floured surface, knead

  23. dough til it forms a ball. Shape dough into 1-1/4 balls.

  24. Arrange balls on ungreased baking sheets; flatten by pressing with the

  25. bottom of a glass to 1/4 thickness, dipping glass into sugar for each 350 for 12-15 minutes or until edges begin to brown.

  26. Remove from baking sheets. Cool on wire rack. Frost with Orange

  27. Frosting. If desired, garnish with finely shredded orange peel.

  28. ORANGE FROSTING: In a bowl, stir together powdered sugar, butter, orange

  29. peel and enough orange juice to make an icing of spreading consistency.

  30. NOTE: Recipe can easily be cut in half. --
