  1. 1 13.8-ounce package refrigerated pizza dough (for 1 crust)

  2. 8 ounces bulk Italian sausage

  3. 1/2 of a medium green sweet pepper, cut into thin strips

  4. 1 8-ounce can pizza sauce

  5. 1 4-ounce can (drained weight) sliced mushrooms, drained

  6. 1 8-ounce package shredded pizza cheese (2 cups)

  1. Method :

  2. Preheat oven to 425°F. Place bread shell on an un-greased baking sheet or pizza pan.

  3. Top bread shell with tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and olives. Drizzle olive oil over all. Bake pizza for 8 minutes. Carefully sprinkle with escarole. Bake for 2 minutes more.

  4. To serve, sprinkle Romano cheese and freshly ground black pepper over pizza.
