  1. 4 sl Bacon

  2. 1 md Unpared apple, coarsely

  3. 1/8ts Ground ginger

  4. Bouillon granules

  5. 1 tb Chicken

  6. 3 c Water

  7. 1 c Uncooked millet

  8. (about 1 cup)

  9. 1 md Green bell pepper, chopped

  10. 1 md Onion, thinly sliced

  11. Chopped (about 1 cup)

  1. + Cook bacon in 10-inch skillet until crisp.

  2. Remove bacon with slotted spoon, reserving fat in skillet.

  3. Crumble bacon and reserve.

  4. Cook and stir onion, bell pepper and millet in fat about 5 minutes or until onion is crisp-tender.

  5. Stir in water, bouillon granules and ginger.

  6. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.

  7. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes or until millet is tender.

  8. Stir in apple and heat until hot.

  9. Sprinkle with reserved bacon.

  10. SERVINGS (ABOUT 3/4 CUP EACH); 145 CALORIES PER SERVING.
