  1. 1 lb lean ground beef

  2. 1/2 sweet bell pepper, finely chopped

  3. 1/2 medium-sized Spanish onion, finely chopped

  4. 1/2 tsp salt pepper, to taste

  5. 1/2 cup oat bran cereal

  6. 3 whole eggs, beaten

  7. 1 cup cooked peas and carrots, mixed

  8. 2 cups mashed potatoes

  9. 9 spears asparagus

  10. 9 slices bacon

  11. 5 slices Swiss cheese

  1. Combine all ingredients except mashed potatoes, asparagus, bacon & Swiss cheese.

  2. Mix well & place into ungreased casserole.

  3. Cover with mashed potatoes 4. Wind a slice of bacon around each asparagus spear 5. Place asparagus spears on top of the mashed potatoes 6. Cover spears with slices of Swiss cheese 7. Bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 90 minutes, or until the juices from the beef run clear, and the top is golden brown.
