  1. Ingredients :

  2. 2 1/2 cups flour, all purpose

  3. 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

  4. 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  5. 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  6. 1 tsp baking powder

  7. 3/4 cup butter, room temperature

  8. 1/2 cup purchased eggnog

  9. 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

  10. 2 large egg yolks

  11. 2 to 3 tsp ground nutmeg

  1. Preparation :

  2. Preheat oven to 300 F In a bowl combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder and nutmeg.

  3. Blend well with a whisk and set aside.

  4. In a large mixing bowl cream butter and sugar with an electric hand-held mixer.

  5. Add vanilla, eggnog and egg yolks; beat smooth at medium speed.

  6. Add the flour mixture, beating at low speed just until dry ingredients are moistened.

  7. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto un-greased baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.

  8. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

  9. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until bottoms are lightly browned.

  10. Remove to a flat surface with a spatula.

  11. Makes about 3 dozen.
