  1. 2 (12-ounce) packages frozen escalloped apples, defrosted according to package directions

  2. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  3. 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  4. 1 large egg, lightly beaten

  5. 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened

  6. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  7. 1/8 teaspoon salt

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F (175°C). Place apples in 9-inch-square baking pan. Mix flour, sugar, egg, butter, baking powder and salt in medium bowl until blended. Drop dough by heaping tablespoons over escalloped apples. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
