  2. 1/2 cup lemon juice

  3. 1/2 cup olive oil

  4. 1 tablespoon rosemary -- chopped, fresh

  5. 1 centiliter garlic -- minced

  6. salt and pepper -- to taste

  7. 2 teaspoons red wine vinegar

  8. 3 Cornish hens -- split in half

  1. Combine the lemon juice, olive oil, rosemary, garlic, salt, pepper and vinegar in a mixing bowl.

  2. Place the hen halves in a shallow dish and pour half of the mixture over them. Turn to coat.

  3. Set aside for 10 minutes.

  4. Remove hens from the marinade and place, bone side up, on a rack.

  5. Grill 6 inches from a hot fire for 10 minutes per side, turning once and basting with the remaining marinade.
