  2. 4 slices bacon -- cubed

  3. 6 cups cabbage -- shredded

  4. salt and pepper -- to taste

  5. 2 sour apples -- peeled,cored,siced

  6. 3 whole cloves

  7. 1 cup boiling water

  8. 3 tablespoons flour

  9. 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

  10. 1/4 cup brown sugar

  11. 2 Tbsps. vinegar -- (2 to 4)

  1. Fry bacon. Remove bacon from pan and drain. To fat in pan add cabbage,salt, pepper, apples and cloves. Pour on boiling water and cook slowly for15 minutes.

  2. Combine flour, cinnamon, brown sugar and vinegar, add to cabbage3. Heat and serve hot, topped with bacon.
