  1. 4 pounds chuck roast --see note

  2. yellow onion -- sliced 2 celery stalks -- chopped

  3. 1/4 cup green peppers -- chopped

  4. 1/3 cup water

  5. 1/2 cup chili sauce

  6. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  7. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  8. 12 ounces beer

  9. Use a chuck roast or similar cut.

  10. 350-degree oven for 1 hour. Pour room temperature beer over, COVER, and cook for 2-3 hours longer depending on the thickness of the roast. Thicken liquid with flour if you wish.
