  1. 4 c Unbleached All-purpose Flour 

  2. 1 tb Salt

  3. 3/4 c Sugar 

  4. 1/4 c Baking Powder

  5. 1 c Vegetable Shortening 

  6. 1/2 c Cornmeal

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar and baking powder. Stir to blend well. With a pastry blender, cut in shortening until evenly distributed. Add cornmeal and mix well. Put in a large airtight container. Label as CORNMEAL MIX an store in a cool, dry, place. Use within 12 weeks.
