  1. 8 ounces fresh mushroom s, whole

  2. 1 1/2 cups seasoned bread crumbs mozzarella cheese, cut into bits

  3. 2 tablespoons olive oil

  4. 2 cups water salt and pepper, to taste

  1. Cut ¼" or so from ends of stems. Wash mushrooms in cold water. Remove stems and chop. Combine with seasoned bread crumbs. Fill mushroom caps, which have been placed in a Pyrex dish, with mixture. Drizzle oil over tops of mushrooms. Add water to Pyrex and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or so, basting occasionally. Add mozzarella bits to center of mushrooms during last five minutes of baking if desired.
