  1. peel and cut yams into quarter size peices about a half inch to one inch thick.boil in a sauce pan of water,water covering yams.then reduce heat to med-low and cover for about 10 min or until yams are tender.drain,add one stick of butter and a half cup of brown sugar.stir untill butter is melted and yams are coated.transfer into 8x8 caserole dish.crush grahm crackers and remaining brown sugar in a quart size zip lock bag and sprinkle over yams.bake on 350 for 15-20 min,let cool for 5min and enjoy!
